The gala will be filled with autumn magic that will include a sponsor reception, dinner, entertainment, and
silent auctions.
After buying your ticket You will get a link to watch the streaming and participate in. There will be fun
activities to be engage with our mission and support it.
Our online educational platform, omegaUp.com, provides free high quality content in Spanish to underserved segments of the population, including indigenous and rural communities. In 2020, we served more than 26,000 users throughout Mexico, the USA, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, El Salvador, and other LATAM countries including more than 300 schools that used omegaUp for their CS Courses.
omegaUp has been adopted as the official platform for the Olympiad of Informatics in Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia
and Peru.
Contests include Coding Cup ITSUR, Coding Cup TecNM, Coding Cup Michoacán, Coding Cup Tamaulipas,
and Concurso de Tecnológicos de Veracruz.
This is an opportunity for teachers and students who want to expand beyond the classroom to competitive
programming. We provide training, support, and a mentor to help them.
Since last year we have been launching online courses for:
Students who want to learn C++: Our
approach is to teach through experiential learning with the help of our platform, so immediately after students
finish a lesson they start solving programming challenges.
Teachers who teach introductory courses: We developed an educational model to help teachers adapt our
platforms to the classroom. omegaUp provides training, support and educational material teachers
can use
with their students.
This year it wasn't possible to do a traditional fundraising gala in person, however, there are always alternatives. 🙂 I'm glad to be present (in virtual form) in the 2020 omegaUp Gala.
